This book, a companion volume to Reflections of Ukiah: The 1860s to the 2000s, provides a glimpse into the lives of several dozen area residents and the places named in their honor. Memorial buildings, such as Frank Zeek School, the Grace Hudson Museum, and MacMillan Hall (Mendocino College); honorary bridges, named for men such as Sgt. Jason Buzzard and F. Walter Sandelin; and the people behind many of Ukiah’s well-known streets and parks including Clara Street, Standley Street, Anton Stadium, and McGarvey Park are highlighted.
